Besides the natural scenery, one of the great attractions of Madhabkunda is khashia polli(village). Khashia is one of the tribes of Bangladesh the migrated first presumably from Tibet to Assam about five hundred years ago and then to this country. Now the khasia people form one of the major matriarchal tribes in Bangladesh. Khasias  call their village punjis where they live in clusters of houses within the cultural boundary of their own community.
